How to Submit an Article

The corresponding author must register on the journal’s website, log in to the “Submit New Article” section, and carefully complete all required information.

Journal Website: https://jfd.attar.ac.ir

Files Required for Uploading to the Journal Website:

1. Title Page and Author Information: (Including research title, names, academic ranks, and institutional affiliations of all authors in both Persian and English, email address and phone number of the corresponding author). This section must be written separately from the main text of the article and uploaded to the site.

2. Main Article File: In Word format and aligned with the journal’s required template.

3. Commitment Form: At the time of submission, all contributing authors must complete and submit a commitment form confirming that the submitted article is an original and valid work that has not previously been published in any journal with similar content or in another language, nor is it simultaneously submitted to other journals for publication. All individuals listed as authors are aware of the article’s content and its submission by the corresponding author to this journal. The corresponding author is also responsible for specifying the role and contribution of each author in preparing the article.

4. Conflict of Interest Form: A conflict of interest refers to any condition where professional judgment regarding a primary interest such as research integrity may be influenced by secondary interests such as financial gain. Disclosure of conflicts of interest is a statement or warning from the authors indicating that they have not received payment for the research, or if financially supported, the source of funding has been disclosed. The purpose of the conflict of interest form is to provide readers with information about the authors’ interests that may affect their perception of the article. Authors must submit this form at the time of article submission and are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the article. This form must be signed by all authors and must state that necessary permissions have been obtained for any content in the article such as figures, tables, etc., or that no permission is required for the publication of the authors’ work.

5. Similarity Check: Authors are required to perform a similarity check of their manuscript using the Samim Noor system prior to submission. The similarity index must not exceed 20 percent. If the similarity rate is higher than this threshold, the manuscript will be rejected without entering the peer review process. The author bears full responsibility for the accuracy and validity of the similarity report. This journal fully adheres to the principles and regulations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) regarding the protection of authors' rights and the observance of research ethics.

Preparation of the Main Article Version In this journal

Research articles written in Persian, accompanied by an extended abstract in English, are accepted for review and publication in this journ. The full text of the article must be written in MS Word (*.doc or *.docx) for use in the review process. The article file must be submitted in single-column format, and all figures, tables, and supplementary data must be embedded within the main text. Each article must include the following sections: Title, Abstract, Keywords, Problem Statement, Theoretical Framework, Literature Review, Research Methodology, Research Findings, Discussion and Conclusion, Conflict of Interest, Acknowledgments, and References. For Persian articles, submission of an extended English abstract is mandatory. For further details, refer to this section. Authors are strongly advised to carefully proofread the article for spelling and grammar errors. Authors whose native language is not English must ensure that the English sections of the article are reviewed by a language expert and written clearly and fluently before submission. Submitted articles cannot be withdrawn after being sent to reviewers.

Abstract

The importance of the abstract is evident, as it provides readers with an initial overview of the article. This section must be written in a single paragraph and should not exceed 250 words (for both Persian and English abstracts), while conveying the article’s content with emphasis on methods, results, and the practical significance of the findings. Note that the extended English abstract may be up to 950 words.

Keywords

Specify three to five keywords that can be used for indexing purposes. Keywords should not include abbreviations. List the keywords in order of relevance to the article, with the most relevant first, and separate them with commas. Problem Statement State the main reasons and objectives of the article, including the time and location of the research. Also, highlight the novelty of the research.

Theoretical Framework and Literature Review (To be presented as two separate sections)

• In the theoretical framework section, concepts, theories, and scientific frameworks related to the research topic are examined. The goal is to establish a theoretical basis for data analysis and interpretation of results.

• In the literature review section, previous studies and research related to the topic are reviewed. The goal is to understand the current state of knowledge, identify research gaps, and avoid duplication. Authors are advised to use scientific articles published in reputable domestic and international journals within the past five years. Using recent and up-to-date sources enhances the scientific credibility of the article and demonstrates the researcher’s awareness of recent developments in the relevant field.

Research Methodology

Provide a clear and specific overview of the research design. Previously published methods should be cited, and the methods used in the article should be described in detail. Types of analyses must be mentioned in this section. It should include subheadings for each category such as method used, research location, analyses, etc. This section must be written in the past tense and passive voice, and research findings should not be presented here.

Research Findings

This section includes the presentation and analysis of research findings. Data should be presented concisely and, if necessary, in the form of figures or tables. Avoid overly large tables. Use figures and tables to organize all data; tables are used to present actual data, while figures illustrate patterns or the impact of data on each other.

• The reader should be able to understand the figures and tables without referring to the text.

• Do not present the same data as both figure and table.

• It is often informative to discuss potential errors.

Discussion and Conclusion

In general, the conclusion should include a summary of the research problem and objectives, a summary of the results and overall conclusion, practical and future research suggestions, and limitations. The conclusion section should briefly review the key points of the work, explain the obtained results, compare them with other studies, and align the findings with theories. Show how your research findings match (or differ from) previously published work. The conclusion may refer to the applications of the research, raise ambiguous points for new research, or suggest expanding the topic to other areas.

Tables

Tables and charts must not be submitted as images; they must be typed in Word. Tables should be embedded within the text, have a clear and logical structure, and be numbered sequentially (Table 1, 2, 3, etc.). Provide sufficient information in the table caption so that the content is understandable without referring to the text. Each table must have a title that clearly reflects its content. Any previously published material must be cited at the end of the table title. Superscripts in tables should be shown with lowercase letters (or use * for significant values and other statistical data) and additional explanations should be provided below the table.

Figures

Images and figures must be of high quality. All figures must be embedded within the article text and not submitted separately. Ensure all figures are clear, titled, and appropriately sized for publication in the journal. The following points must be observed:

• Each figure must have a title that accurately describes what is shown. The title should be typed below the figure, not inside it. Citing the source after the figure title is mandatory.

• No punctuation marks should be used at the end of the figure title.

• All numbers and symbols used in the figure must be explained in the figure title.

Acknowledgments

Acknowledgment of individuals, financial support, and research projects with official numbers is a necessary part of the article. The names of funding organizations must be fully and accurately stated according to the organization’s standards. The institutional affiliation of the article’s financial sponsor (if any) must be mentioned in this section.

Abbreviations

All abbreviations and symbols used in the article must be defined upon first use in the text.

References

All references, both in-text citations and the reference list, must follow the APA citation style. The reference list should be sorted alphabetically first and then chronologically, and written in English. Authors are advised to cite sources from the past ten years rather than older ones. Ensure that all cited references in the text are included in the reference list. Authors are encouraged to use reference management tools such as Endnote for citation and reference list preparation.
